[PREMIERE] MDNITE – “I’ve Always Been An Alien”

For all the outsiders, dreamers, and independent souls: this exclusive premiere from Boise-based married dream-pop duo, MDNITE, is for you.

Kelsi and Erik specialize in the kind of spacey synthpop we drool over here at TDL. The band’s new single, “I’ve Always Been An Alien,” speaks to the misunderstood while morphing into an anthem of self-acceptance and peace.

Soaked in dreamy synthpop bliss, finally feeling heard and understood never felt so good. Being aliens ourselves (especially in the music industry), this track especially hits home for us at it encapsulates everything we’ve been feeling but just couldn’t find the words.

An exciting third release to add to their roster, “I’ve Always Been An Alien” is only the beginning of what’s to come from MDNITE!

“Why do we think we’re supposed to be fully understood? Why do we judge ourselves so harshly when our thoughts, feelings, and actions don’t line up with what’s widely accepted by the social circle that we inhabit? ‘I’ve Always Been An Alien’ is a personal expression of the universal feeling of being misunderstood. It’s learning to accept yourself and courageously go where no earthly being has gone before.”
