[LISTEN] lovelytheband – “waste”

The following track has some insanely delicious ’80s-inspired sax running through the chorus that may or may not make listeners want to obnoxiously dance throughout the house like a child on a cotton candy high. You have been warned!

lovelytheband made their sweet return to us this past January with their ridiculously catchy (and very relatable) track “loneliness for love,” introducing us to their killer new sound. New track, “waste,” has only proved to us that we picked the right band to obsess over.

“I think I feel too much,” sings Mitchy Collins as he echoes our sentiments flawlessly as the blissful sounds of eighties-inspired nostalgia glistens from your speakers. One thing’s for sure: the anticipation of the release of album two is absolutely killing us. Oh..and more sax, please!

“We have been pulling influences from every decade and just about every genre of music while we were writing and recording in the studio. ‘waste’ is a great example of us stretching the boundaries of our sound to get the most out of a song idea. We played around with a ton of ’80s production and even had a buddy come in and play saxophone. We hope you can connect with this song as strongly as we do.”
