[Pick Of The Week] Trey Connor – “Tired”

Indie/pop-rock artist, Trey Connor, specializes in matters of the heart. The Detroit-based singer/songwriter just released new single, “Tired,” and needless to say, we’re pretty smitten.

Delving into the pains of missing someone so much to the point of mental decline, “Tired” encapsulates pure love at its finest while proving how far one can go in hopes of falling into the arms of another. A lesson in holding on and letting go, “Tired” and it’s accompanying video are a breathtaking glimpse into setting oneself on fire for someone else, wondering if they’d do the same.

Connor’s 90’s meets early 2000’s pop/rock sound will bring listeners right back to a time when John Mayer, Jason Mraz and Michelle Branch ruled the airwaves. A perfect companion for those night drives or lonely nights in, “Tired” is sure to be a favorite all summer & beyond.

“‘Tired’ is a song about missing someone so bad that you feel lost, burned out, and beaten down without them,” shared Connor. “It’s also about losing steam and undergoing a steady mental decline. Life is full of ups and downs, but sometimes those downs can drag you to a place that’s hard to come back from. You start to lose touch with yourself and reality, and you find yourself in the backseat of your own life.”
