Olloway – the collaboration of two high school friends Paul Kane and Brett Fabian – may seem to be new to the scene with one previously released track to their name, (see debut release “August”) but that’s not the case. Previously known as EDM duo FYKA, the Vancouver-based duo blew our minds with their genre-bending sound. Mixing elements of electronic with rock and alternative, it’s pretty hard to categorize them, but then again, the best bands always come in uncategorizable packages.
Today marks the release of new track, “Haunted,” taken from the band’s forthcoming debut EP. Delving into moving on from past relationships, bad habits, and troubling experiences, “Haunted” takes on the trials of poor communication with a messy backstory that feels all too common these days.
