[Pick Of The Week] Javi Jimenez – “Waste My Time”

We don’t know how he does it, but Javi Jimenez can take any harrowing situation and make it feel good. The Costa Rica-based indie-pop artist is back with his first release of 2024 and it’s a definite keeper!

New track, “Waste My Time,” delves into a situationship that never felt so good while questions swirl in the back of your mind that never bring any sense of clarity.

“Mixed signals are a common occurrence for anyone who has spent some time dating. The person you like seems like they love you one minute and then lose interest the next, or perhaps you established a friendship with benefits with the naive idea that it would all work out. The instrumentals of this song have a great way of communicating this ‘stop and go’ kind of dynamic. I love the fact that it’s also just a really fun pop song to vibe to, if you want to simply jam to some cool guitars and catchy chorus,” shared Jimenez.
