[LISTEN] Rebel Kicks – “Hamartia”

New York City-based alt-pop duo, Rebel Kicks – comprised of brothers Anthony and Steven Babino – just might be our newest obsession.

Crafting undeniably anthemic alt-pop with a much-appreciated personal, honest grit, this duo needs to be on your radar! New single, “Hamartia,” chronicles the story of someone who is their own worst enemy, making it one of the most relatable tracks you’ll hear all summer. Fans of Twenty One Pilots, AJR, and fun. will surely fall in love immediately as did we!

“Our song is about a person who is their own worst enemy. Someone who wants to be positive, but is inevitably dragged down by their own perceptions and paranoid beliefs, yet they’re self-aware enough to recognize that as their fatal flaw, or literal hamartia. The word “Hamartia” originates from Greek tragedy, and though it has several interpretations, it most commonly refers to a fatal flaw that leads to the downfall of a tragic hero or heroine,” shared Anthony.
