[LISTEN] Pale Waves – “Black”

Heartwrenching goth-pop is all the rage with us nowadays and we’re here for it! Just a little under a month to go before we are graced with My Mind Makes Noises – the debut from UK indie-pop band Pale Waves, out on September 14.

New teaser track, “Black,” is about someone hating you and what you have become at a time when you need love the most. As singer Heather Baron-Gracie comes in with the chorus of, “You don’t love us anymore, but I do. I feel like I’m having a heart attack,” nothing feels more raw and open than that feeling of abandonment; the notion of a new wound in the making as everything you’ve ever loved falls apart.
