[Pick Of The Week] Ruelle feat. Fleurie – “Carry You”

“I know it hurts

It’s hard to breathe sometimes.”

You know those songs that have a way of reaching you exactly when you need them? It’s like they’re a message from the universe that everything is going to be okay and your pain will be gone soon. Our Pick Of The Week is that song for me.

“Carry You” is the gorgeous new collaboration between Nashville darlings Ruelle and Fleurie. The track, along with its accompanying video is a scintillating reminder of all we are worth and all we are yet to become.

“I know you can’t remember how to shine

Your heart’s a bird without the wings to fly.”

It can become difficult to see the big picture sometimes, and we often lose sight of what we want to be. “Carry You” is a simple reminder to everyone that all we really need in this life is to love; to be heard and accepted as who we are, before all the pressures of life come to beat us down. Love is the key to everything, yet we push it away because we somehow lost ourselves to the notion that instant gratification without implications is easier than being accountable or getting hurt. Having someone to carry you home when you’re broken is a blessing – one I only wish each and every one of you will experience and cherish.
