[LISTEN] margø – “Fool”

Canadian-born alt-pop artist, margø, has been a blog favorite here at TDL since we were introduced to her back in 2019…and it keeps getting better! The singer is making no apologies with new guitar-driven track, “fool,” and it just might be her best release to date.

An anthem for anyone who has ever had to overcome the pain of dealing with toxic people in their lives, “fool” helps listeners find the courage and their inner strength to let go, move on, and most importantly: heal.

“‘fool’ is about not letting toxic people hold power over you. This song is written from the perspective of facing someone who has continually treated you poorly, and finally finding the courage to cut them out of your life. This song is meant to empower anyone who has ever been in a dynamic where they were taken for granted  – and remind them that they are worth more than how that person made them feel.”
