[LISTEN] Lydia Kaseta – “The Other Side”

LA-based indie/folk artist, Lydia Kaseta, belongs in a special place in your music library: alongside sad girl pop like Olivia Rodrigo, Fleurie, and Sasha Alex Sloan. Today marks the release of her new track, “The Other Side” – an anthem for anyone who has foolishly dimmed their own light to make someone else brighter.

Produced by Naebird, touring member of The Ramones’s CJ Ramone and The Early November, “The Other Side” is a lovely acoustic ballad reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s folklore/evermore albums and will be featured on the singer’s forthcoming EP, Hate The Day.

“‘The Other Side’ is an anthem of empowerment for anybody who has dimmed their own light to make somebody else appear brighter. It’s my second new single, an acoustic ballad taken from my ’Hate The Day’ EP. I want this to encourage people to confront the selfish ones in their past who didn’t want you to be your true self. I have surprise gift packs for my fans and a release show booked in Los Angeles, so plenty of exciting things around the corner for the rollout.”
