[LISTEN] Kacey Musgraves – “Middle of Nowhere”

Country queen, Kacey Musgraves, will deliver her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere, on May 1 and it’s title track puts the yee in our haw. That was bad. My apologies.

A little lesson on self-care after heartbreak, “Middle of Nowhere” sees Musgraves holing herself away with no phone service or human contact for days. An anthem on healing and getting quiet with oneself, the track is somber as it is hopeful as lessons integrate and self-love expands.

The track follows first single, “Dry Spell” and is reminiscent of the singer’s earlier material.
