[WATCH] The Moondrops – “Pinwheel”

San Francisco Bay Area indie-rock band, The Moondrops – comprised of Hussain Khan, Craig Lager, Alex Bru and Josh May – have dazzled us with their DIY debut music video for “Pinwheel.”

Teaming up with longtime friend and photographer, Caine Edelman, and his 1995 Sony VX1000, the band filmed their spontaneous adventures throughout Berkeley, CA to gift fans a nostalgic take on friendship set to sunny and gloomy locations throughout the area. Think: those one-off chances of catching a new band’s video on MTV’s 120 Minutes for the first time.

Taken from the band’s recent EP, Timelapse, “Pinwheel” delves into self-reflection and loss of innocence intertwined with the coming of age. Sonically, “Pinwheel” is an indie, shoegazy dream best enjoyed on a summer road trip or a cozy night in.

Timelapse is available now via Neon Bloodbath.
