Legend has it that HAIM really hasn’t stopped perfecting their sister walk since 2017’s “Want You Back” video. After getting a taste of the trio’s upcoming third record with “Summer Girl,” this past July, fans have been eagerly awaiting more music, so our girls delivered with new video for “Now I’m In It,” and boy is it a treat!
Delving into the beast that is depression and anxiety, “Now I’m In It” captures the essence of going through the motions while your head is in a daze as life moves on around you.
“People think ‘Now I’m in It’ is a breakup song because I sing: ‘We can’t be friends’ but I’m talking about me and my mind,” shared Danielle. “It was gnarly and I was not OK with myself.”
“Even when we’re writing about something dark or more serious, we like to tie it up in a bow so that there’s a bit of lightness to it. We want our music, and this song especially, to be the thing that helps you get through that rough time,” added Este.
