SoCal-based indie-rock band, Daise, won us over immediately. Their new single, “Sights of Blue,” showcased here today features our three favorite things: shimmering dream-pop, ambient backdrops, and dark yet sweet undertones. In other words, they’re winning, big time!
“Sights of Blue” speaks to the burning desire in us all to make sense of a world gone mad while a relationship crumbles beneath us set to a chilling soundtrack of hazy, dreamy vibes perfect for a cloudy day drive.
If you’re dying to see these guys live and you’re on the west coast, you’re in luck. They recently won a pretty rad contest that allowed them to be selected by veteran indie rock band, The Boxer Rebellion, to open up their show at Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom on September 27! Go witness that ASAP!
“‘Sights of Blue’ was written on the subject that almost every person can relate to, about being in a relationship where they have been mistreated and not having the efforts they invest into the relationship reciprocated,” shared lead vocalist Eli DeLeon. “Ultimately in the end they should realize they deserve better, recognize when it’s time to move on, and start focusing on making themselves happy again.”
