[Pick Of The Week] flor – “lmho”

It’s always a pleasure to cover anything flor-related here at TDL, so when we got word that the band was releasing a track from the vault, we were beyond excited! “lmho” was originally a demo from the come out. you’re hiding era, but after a little revision, it truly stands out from both their albums combined.

While the band always finds a way to look at the bright side of every tough situation, “lmho” (laying my heart out) takes on a different approach, leading singer Zach Grace to pour out his sadness in a way that felt cathartic. Proving that spilling out heartache and pain isn’t anything to be ashamed about, “lmho” will find a safe home in the hearts of listeners who tend to wear their heart on their sleeve.

“‘lmho’ was written around the time ‘come out. you’re hiding’ was completed. Most of my lyrics try to look at the bright side, but this song had no barriers. I was simply spilling my sadness, confusion, and heartache into our music,” shared Grace. “There are points in our lives where we feel completely out-of-control and stuck, and I did my best to be honest with myself and write exactly how I was feeling. Four years later, and our world is at a halt—some of these feelings have a way of coming back again.”
