[Daily Discovery] almost monday

San Diego-based trio, almost monday – comprised of Dawson Daugherty, Luke Fabry, and Cole Clisby – have been tuning heads with their deliriously infectious debut single, “broken people.” An anthem that just might accurately describe a generation, the track, along with second single, “parking lot view,” have been on constant rotation here at TDL after discovering them on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation.

Getting their start in 2015 playing self-booked shows around their hometown, almost monday prove that they are no strangers to the DIY life, and luckily for them, all that hard work paid off. Signed to Hollywood Records in 2019, the band are on their way to becoming a force within the industry, delighting listeners everywhere with their own brand of energetic alt-pop. This is the stuff indie dreams are made of.

“At some point I started dancing really crazy at our shows, and I feel like it helps the whole crowd to put their guard down and let loose,” shared Dawson. “That’s what we want for our music in general: to give everybody that feeling of dancing alone in your bedroom, where you’re not self-conscious at all—you just feel completely free to be yourself.”
