We can always count on DC duo, Wall Of Trophies, to bring the hazy, synthy vibes and the band’s new video for “Left Behind” does not disappoint!
Using Resolume VJ Software, WoT’s Will Copps and Brittany Jean crafted a beautiful visual for an equally beautifully heartbreaking track. Taken from their sophomore record, Semaphore, “Left Behind” is a bittersweet tale of moving on and letting go set to a bubbly synth backdrop; the juxtaposition of both emotions – heartbreak and empowerment – blend so poignantly, it’s impossible to not replay this one over and over.
“Imagine a ton of knobs and sliders all programmed to different video clips and effects — it’s tons and tons of pre-work and practice; this video is an actual recording of a performance! We treat video just like audio and do them til we get just the right take—the right spontaneous adjustment or perfectly timed transition nailing the mood we want,” shared Copps.
