Indie-pop trio (and our new favorite obsession), The Wldlfe – comprised of Jansen Hogan, Carson Hogan and Jack Crane – have released their highly-anticipated new album, Revolver, 2026, today via Nashville’s Riser House Records and it’s their most creatively expansive release yet.
Drawing inspiration from a broad range of influences, the band allowed themselves to really push the bar, leading to a sense of creative freedom that is evident throughout the record.
To celebrate the release, the band has shared a music video for opening track, “Ruby,” and needless to say, this one’s a keeper!
“Anyone who has followed The Wldlfe over our career knows we are not shy when it comes to releasing music,” the band shared in a statement. “We try not to pick favorites. But this particular project feels uniquely special. It’s easy to feel that sentiment with every new album, but we think that ‘Revolver, 2026′ represents a lot of growth for us as artists. While we always approach a new record with the intention of it being the truest representation of us, it’s easy to find yourself in the middle of it all trying to find the hit. We feel like this might be the first time where our motivation of making an album that just made us feel good remained true throughout. ‘Ruby’ was the catalyst that led us down a road of writing songs that followed an imaginary story. So much of our music is a reflection of our own experiences, and writing about something completely made up, inspired new ideas and got us out of a bit of a writing funk. It’s hard to pick which songs are our favorites but ‘Saturn’ is a representation of us outside our comfort zone, and ‘Revolver’ feels like the perfect ending to the story of Ruby and her Revolver. We love this album and we hope everyone who listens to it is able to find pieces of their own story in these 14 songs.”
