[Pick Of The Week] The 1975 – “Happiness”

The 1975 made their anticipated return last month with “Part Of The Band” – the first single from their upcoming fifth studio album, Being Funny In a Foreign Language, due out October 14. While a bit subdued and quite philosophical, the track only made fans crave more, and with today’s release of new track, “Happiness,” there’s no doubt about it that the wait was well worth it.

“Happiness” is aptly titled. If you don’t feel like spinning around and dancing around the streets to this one, you probably need to check your pulse. Chock full of signature (and iconic) 1975 vibes all around and a killer sax solo, “Happiness” is bound to be one of those top favorites at live shows and beyond from now on. The track’s accompanying video offers a more retro aspect with a rather adorable ending from frontman Matty Healy.
