[Pick Of The Week] Social Order – “How To Lie”

At this point, I think we can all agree that the only good thing to come out of the pandemic was music.

While the entire world was shut down in 2020, beautiful things were happening in the music world. One of those things was the formation of new synthpop/post-punk trio Social Order.

Comprised of Mason Musso (Metro Station), Anthony Improgo (Metro Station, Parade of Lights) and Andrew Ward (Nuwave Fighters), Social Order know just how to play with our heartstrings. The band’s debut EP, How To Lie – out todaydelves into being in the throes of depression, romanticizing the past, and the complications that come with toxic relationships.

“We definitely drew inspiration from artists we admire for the aesthetic of this new music, but we also poured our feelings and lives into the production and lyrical content of these songs,” shared Musso. “With all that people have been going through these last few years, we felt the theme of the songs had to reflect that.  Sometimes exploring that darkness can be cathartic. We hope our music takes you on that journey.”
