CHVRCHES have unveiled yet another classic banger off of their upcoming third studio album, Love Is Dead, out on May 25.
“Never Say Die” emulates the feeling of riding on an 80’s synthpop cloud set to the theme of revenge, recollection of a significant other’s lies, and ways to recover from the evident shock to the heart. Playing off of the album’s theme of a love gone wrong, it looks like this is going to be one hell of a ride come May!
“‘Never Say Die’ is one of my favorite songs on the record because it really leans into the juxtaposition of what we do—the mixture between the dark and the light,” singer Lauren Mayberry shared in a statement. “It’s melodic and direct but uses some of the gnarliest sounds we’ve ever tried.”
