[LISTEN] Wintur – “writer’s block”

LA-based indie-pop artist, Wintur, has been gaining traction on TikTok where he’s often being compared to the likes of Billie Eilish and Conan Gray, but there’s much more than comparisons here. Wintur is carving his own space in the indie music scene with his introspective and deeply biographical lyricism, making him an artist to watch this fall!

New track, “writer’s block,” is that all-too-familiar struggle of not being able to put pen to paper due to a restless mind and a possible avoidance of facing one’s own pain.

“I hadn’t written a song in a while and I kept blaming it on writer’s block — but really, I was afraid of what I had to say. I knew that if I picked up my guitar, I’d have to face what I’d been avoiding. When I finally sat down, I wrote this song about my dating life and how it feels like I keep recasting different people into the same role. It’s a carousel I realized I needed to step off of.”
