[LISTEN] Stay Lunar – “Pull The Rug”

It’s been a hot minute (translation: 2 years) since we last heard from Bristol, UK indie-pop gems, Stay Lunar, so needless to say, today’s new release has us super pumped!

The band’s new track, “Pull The Rug,” is the first release since the band’s 2023 EP, When The Sun Sets, and is set to be featured on their forthcoming EP to be released in the spring of 2026.

“Pull The Rug” delves into themes of anxiety and internal chaos, sonically mimicking the workings of a panic attack in true Stay Lunar dreampop fashion.

“The track was written during a difficult period of anxiety (there’s a theme with the rest of the EP), and explores the fact that most of the time it’s my own brain creating the chaos, when everything on the outside is actually okay,” shared singer Harry Leigh. “Sonically we tried to make the song feel a little bit like an anxiety attack, with the calm > chaos > calm structure, which is something we leaned into a bit with a few of our upcoming tracks.”
