[LISTEN] Katie Ekin – “Little Moon”

Upon first listen of singer-songwriter, Katie Ekin, I felt as if there might be a little peace on this earth after all. If you’re into feeling like your stress is melting away in an instant, you might want to hit repeat on the singer’s most recent track, “Little Moon.”

Hailing from Santa Cruz, CA, Ekin specializes in folky, atmospheric guitar-driven vibes reminiscent of Feist, Fleurie, and Wall of Trophies’ Brittany Jean.

“I wrote ‘Little Moon’ a couple of years ago and it was instantly one of my favorite songs I’d written. I had wanted to write a lullaby as I had been nannying for twin babies at the time. After I finished the song, I realized how easily it can be connected to any kind of love story, not just the love between a parent and child but between two people as well,” shared Ekin. “I went up to Oregon last August 2017 and recorded a 4 song EP in 5 days with an amazing team of ladies. ‘Little Moon’ is just the first single. The EP will be released later this spring!”
