[LISTEN] Jesse D’Kora – “far from home”

You might recognize Manchester, UK-based artist, Jesse D’Kora, from TDL essential band, Juliper Sky. The time has come for D’Kora (real name, Dan Parker) to spread his wings and embark on a solo journey. If you love the shoegazy goodness of JS, you’re going to fall in love with this!

Debut single, “far from home,” encapsulates the notion of going back to your happy place, wherever home may be. Delving into the efforts we make out of love while putting our partners first, “far from home” is an anthem for anyone who has taken a chance but still found themselves unhappy. A second chance of hope of sorts, let “far from home” inspire you that leaps of faith are always possible.

“One of my aims when I write music is to try to connect with other people who can listen and relate to the songs. ‘far from home’ is about trying unsuccessfully to make a long distance relationship work. I know a lot of us will have been there. It’s also about that joyous feeling you get when you go home to see your family and friends after being away.”
