Indie-pop artist, Javi Jimenez, just keeps on delivering gem after gem and new track, “Lemonade,” is a refreshing take on vulnerability and falling hard.
A romantic ballad on the magical rush of falling in love after holding back, “Lemonade” offers not only lyrical veracity but a killer (and very much-appreciated) sax solo.
“My girlfriend and I didn’t have a very ‘normal’ love story,” Jimenez shares. “I had a lot of resistance at first, because of the walls I’d put up. That’s what makes this love song extra special: it took someone extraordinarily kind, beautiful, and smart to make a hard-headed guy like me backtrack on his old ways. This song is me admitting I had no choice. How was I possibly going to let someone like her get away?”
The track is set to be featured on Jimenez’s forthcoming debut album, Second Wind, due out this fall.
