[WATCH] Michelle Branch – “Not My Lover”

Michelle Branch has returned with her brand spankin’ new album, The Trouble With Fever, today! The follow up to 2017’s Hopeless Romantic, Branch’s new material takes her signature pop/rock meets alternative sound up a notch as she delves into matters of the heart while opening herself up to new beginnings as she closes another chapter.

The singer has been teasing the video for “Not My Lover” for a few weeks, and now we finally get to see it in all its glory! What better way to celebrate one’s independence while waxing poetic over a situationship than karaoke?

“Not My Lover” is an anthem for those finding themselves in a situation where wires get crossed and labels are misconstrued. “You were not my lover, you were just a lesson that I learned,” sings Branch in the chorus; a sentiment all of us can relate to at some point.
