The Strike are back with their first release of 2026 and it’s a keeper!
New track, “Famous,” effortlessly blends indie-pop and yacht-rock with an underlying message of understanding what truly matters in the realm of fame and identity.
“It addresses the pursuit of celebrity in our society,” the band explains. “In the age of social media, it seems like everyone is after their 15 minutes of fame. The song asks the question: What do I want to be known for at the end of the day? Would I rather be celebrated by strangers for my belongings or my talent — or for my devotion to the people I love most? Ultimately, the song argues it’s better to be known for the latter.”
