[LISTEN] The 1975 – “Frail State of Mind”

The 1975 are gearing up for the release of their fourth studio album, Notes On A Conditional Form, on February 21, 2020, and new track “Frail State of Mind” is exactly what the doctor ordered. Following the release of their out-of-character-yet-so-very-appreciated anthem, “People,” the band has resumed back to their normal aesthetic with a take on mental health fans will be quoting forever.

“Frail State Of Mind” explores notions of social anxiety while delving into the constant fears of always being a burden to others. Opening with a line about not going outside while watching the phone ring, all while beating oneself up over the fact, this universal feeling is by far one of the biggest issues of a generation. “I’ve always got a frail state of mind.”

Relatable, gentle, honest, and just the right tempo to calm any anxiety sufferer, it has become quite clear that this album is going to be a wild, unpredictable ride…and we are so ready for it!
