[LISTEN] Ralph – “September Fades”

If you’re in the mood for a new favorite synthpop obsession, we’ve got the one you’re looking for!

Ralph is a Toronto-based artist who, after having a very successful 2017 in which she released her debut EP, is not stopping any time soon and is already back with a pretty lush and nostalgic retro anthem.

“September Fades” is a contemporary melodic track that dives into the topic of a non-reciprocal relationship, in a straight-forward yet metaphoric way. The lyrics stem from how bad she felt about not being able to match her feelings with her partner, and so the song was born.

“The concept of an evergreen tree became relevant because they never change. They’re always strong and supportive, and withstand even the coldest winters. He was my evergreen,” Ralph told Paper Magazine.
