[LISTEN] HUNGER – “Naked”

You might know Austrian alt-pop band HUNGER – comprised of Daniel Rumpel, Johannes Herbst, and Lucas Fendrich – from multiple mediums – a 2018 Mitsubishi commercial, a feature on Taylor Swift’s Spotify playlist ‘Songs Taylor Loves,’ and a feature on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. If you missed those, however, be prepared to fall in love with these guys right from the start!

New track, “Naked,” dives into the all-too-familiar trials of inner struggle strengthened by the ever-present notion of self-doubt in a society where social media feeds off the frenzy of constant comparison.

“People tend to question themselves if they’re good enough, good looking or smart enough while being put into boxes from other people. Constant judgment in our society these day create a lot of pressure, especially on young people. “Naked’s” message is that ‘it’s ok to be yourself’ ‘it’s ok to be weird’ ‘be who you are’ and don’t care too much what other people think about you,” shared Rumpel.

“They try make me feel there’s something wrong with me, well they can have a piece of my reality.”
