Irish indie-pop artist, Four Nights, has released his sophomore EP, in my mind, i’m safe, today and if you’ve been following along, you know this isn’t one to miss!
Featuring previous singles “safe,” “i just hope you feel it too,” and “DO YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY?” the EP dives into longing, hope and the unspoken nuance around uncertainty.
New track, “all night long,” adds on to the theme of longing, becoming a synth-driven anthem on modern day infatuation.
“It’s about unrequited love in the digital age — where social media gives you a window into someone’s life, but not a way into their world. I tried to craft a very modern love song about parasocial attachment — falling in love with the idea of someone, or the version of them you create in your head based on their online presence. It’s sad, obsessive, dreamy, and lonely all at once. Almost like the person is stuck between fantasy and reality.”
