It’s become pretty evident that releasing a new single every month is XYLØ‘s thing…and we honestly can’t complain. This month’s banger, “Get Closer,” is about the painful distance with someone you were once inseparable with paired with a killer dark R&B vibe reminiscent of The Weeknd meets Banks.
“To be young in 2016 comes with many distractions,” singer Paige Duddy told The FADER. “We live in a chaotic, clickbait, top ten list-instant gratification generation. Sometimes we need to look up from the small screens and take a look at ourselves, and the people who are closest to us.”
