[WATCH] The Neighbourhood – “Daddy Issues”

The Neighbourhood are known for their chilling and thought-provoking music videos but the newly released “Daddy Issues” tops the cake. Fitting for the theme of their sophomore record, Wiped Out!, “Daddy Issues” takes us through the turmoil of being a young woman with resentment for the one man who failed to love and provide for his family.

The video takes us through a night of turmoil and revenge with three young women with baseball bats and cinder blocks while the band sits calmly in a parked car in suburbia, portraying the role of the deadbeat father figure. While I find The NBHD’s videos usually involve them in a car of some sort, the surprise ending will have you playing the video on repeat to interpret what may have happened after! Let’s hope there’s a video for “Cry Baby” on the way next!
