[WATCH] Megan Slankard – “Bones Live Forever”

San Francisco indie alt-rock artist, Megan Slankard, just might be music’s most underrated bad ass. The girl can knock it out of the park every time and the more I listen to her back catalog, the more intrigued I am. The singer just released her video for “Bones Live Forever” – a track about the personal struggle of dealing with inner demons – off of her latest album, Running On Machinery.

“The opening line places you inside a woman’s head, where two versions of the same conscience engage in battle,” explains Megan – something we all can relate to at some point in our lives.

Check out the video for “Bones Live Forever” below:

Running On Machinery is available now here.

  1. You have it exactly right about who Megan Slankard is in music; I think she is the best pop writer in the country, and the way she takes on non-standard themes, supporting the lyrics with surprising, uniquely creative and appropriate music, as she does in this song, on her latest album, “Runnning on Machinery,” on her previous album, “A Token of the Wreckage,” and on the rest of her back-catalog, as you say, makes her one of the most potent voices (and oh yes, that voice! but please also see her as the expert musician she is) in music!
