[WATCH] Kat Vinter – “Islands”

You fell in love with the sultry synthpop track, “Islands,” by Kat Vinter earlier this summer – now the singer is back with a gorgeous video interpretation of the song for your viewing pleasure.

About the video, Vinter stated:

“I wanted to make a video that was not overthought, not over planned, rather an intuitive response to an atmosphere and setting nobody could predict. We flew to Lisbon as a small team, a director, a camera man, a photographer and myself, with no particular agenda but to capture some or any footage that we felt the power of immediately, and in response to a place we’d never connected with before. And we simply had an adventure. We drove along the coast and in the distance loomed a cliff covered in clouds. Most of the video is shot at this intriguing, mountainous, misty beach location and it seemed there and then the perfect visual mood and sentiment of ‘Islands’ emerged. The song itself is about the intuitive way I’ve lived my life so far. Traveling from city to city, creating music, and not holding on too tight to any person, location or situation. Islands is the process in which we intuitively follow the currents, in a journey of constant change and evolution.”
