[Playlist] Warm, Autumn Vibes

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons of the year – there’s just something about it that I can’t help but love, the way the temperature drops at least a tiny bit and somehow this season has a way of taking out an even more sensitive/emotional part of me. I don’t know why (or maybe I do, I just won’t admit it).

The following playlist includes some of the tunes I feel like listening to over and over while I wrap myself on the couch and enjoy a lovely cup of coffee while I space out in the depth of my own thoughts. These songs are both lovely and slow-paced, personal “feel-y” catalysts for something on my mind that I’ve been trying for a while to let go of. However, somehow these songs make me feel warm inside, cue the name of the playlist, and I really, really hope they can do the same for you. So, onto the tracks…

I couldn’t have chose an opening song better than Gavin James’ “Nervous.” This track perfectly portrays the nostalgia of having to let someone go even though you might not be ready for it but it was only natural it had “an expiration date” along with the feeling of regret that comes with not saying those three heavy words just because “it’s too late.”

“All At Once” by John The Ghost (The Maine’s John O’Callaghan) is the perfect track to blast from your speakers while you take a drive under the lovely autumn rain. It wouldn’t be a cool playlist without a song from a TDL favourite, BANNERS. “Gold Dust” will still set the autumn-y mood with his lovely vocals and even more lovely lyrics.

Not only is “Pyro” by Kings Of Leon one of my favourite songs in the world (and I was lucky enough to hear it live for the first time about a week ago, I cried, in case you’re wondering) but it also has this cozy mood setter within the music, I just had to put it in here.

Ending with Walking On Cars’ “Tick Tock,” I want you to “put hope back on the shelf.” I know it’s hard sometimes to look on the bright side, but it’s just a matter of perspective. Try to keep an eye on the positive outlook of life…it’s the nicest thing to do for yourself.
