My initial reaction while watching the new video from Brooklyn duo, ACES, “What Do You Think They’ll Say About Me?” was, “Holy crap this is gorgeous!” Turns out, others share my sentiments and I’m pretty sure you will too. Comprised of Alexandra Stewart and Russ Flynn, ACES specialize in “patient pop” primed for sunset drives and slow-motion romance. Not to mention sparkling synths that you all know I live for. NYLON has even compared the duo to HAIM, and while I do hear the similarities within Stewart’s and Danielle Haim’s voices, I’m pretty sure they’re in a special league of their own – no doubt HAIM would approve, though!
