[Listening Party] Amanda Merdzan – ‘Commands’

We fell in love with the glorious sounds of Amanda Merdzan this past spring with her gorgeous first single, “Glow.” Today, the Australian-born London-based singer releases her stellar new EP, Commands, and it’s filled with chill-inducing gems that will have you wondering where she’s been all your life.

From the familiar feels of “Glow” to the seductive sensibilities of “All Of You,” it’s pretty clear this EP is meant to be devoured alone as you sit with your thoughts and figure out some of that rough stuff. “Matter” is a Broods-esque love ballad while “Flame” and “Bury The Rest” are reminiscent of some classic Fleurie. Lyrics like, “I don’t feel you like I used to,” cut to the bone as we’re reminded of everything we once loved that has since drifted from us.

If one thing’s clear, this girl is going places.
