[LISTEN] Kings Of Leon – “Waste A Moment”

World, rejoice! Kings Of Leon are back and ready to grace us with new music and a new album since the release of Mechanical Bull in 2013.

“Waste A Moment” is the first single from the band’s upcoming album WALLS. Expected on October 14, this is the band’s 7th studio album and judging by the tiny little taste that is the new single, this one is going to be a tough competitor for –at least mine– favorite albums this year.

The track opens up with an amazing and already Kings Of Leon familiar bass line which, takes the band back to its roots, a sound they kinda drifted apart from on their previous album.

Lead singer and guitarist, Caleb Followill, is optimistic about this new album, he told Rolling Stone:

“We’re trying to change people’s perception of us,” he said. “We have more depth on this album and more situations where we dipped our toe in before but never committed. Now we’re wanting to dive in. I know this is a pop-driven world and what we do isn’t necessarily at the top of the heap of music that people are listening to, but I feel like once people discover this album, it’s going to change them.”

“Take the time to waste a moment, never ask to be forgiven”
