[LISTEN] Holy Wars – “I Can’t Feel A Thing”

Pop music and darkness are two of the more intriguing things in life; and none of it you can escape. Its powers combined together create an atmosphere that captivates your attention and pulls you into the unknown.

That’s how the debut single of Los Angeles-based dark-pop formation Holy Wars will make you feel. The echoing vocals, the heavily thumping rhythm and electronica will take you on a journey that most resembles the soundtrack of a high-tech sci-fi movie, while lyrics deal with grief and the occult; helping both the songwriter and listener as a way of therapy.

“I Can’t Feel A Thing” comes off the first installment of a double EP called Mother and it’s out June 30 – respectively, the second part Father is due to be released later in the summer. The material is a beautiful dedication to the pain frontwoman Kat Leon went through following the loss of her parents in a short period of time.
