It’s one thing to have killer songs but when a band shares your attitudes on life and staying true to yourself, they’re definitely winning in my book. Cali alt-rock band, Higuera, won me over with their desire to push all of the usual bullshit that surrounds the music industry to the side and just focus on making great music simply because they love it.
The band is set to release their new EP, Always Have a Secret Plan, on May 20 and first single, “Pieces,” is a real treat for listeners as the band delves deep into the many shades of love and how it messes with our emotions. File this one under early 2000’s nostalgia!
