[LISTEN] For Esmè – “Make a Sound”

Toronto dream-pop trio, For Esmè, have shared their playfully seductive new track, “Make a Sound,” this week. The third single from the band’s upcoming release, Sugar, the track captures a dark, 80’s element perfect for night drives and self-reflection. Singer Martha Meredith’s lyrics detail the pressure to share all your best moments on social media, stating, “The endless need in this industry, in this generation, to show everyone how great your life is, is exhausting. I catch myself feeling regret for not thinking to capture a special moment on camera, then catch myself, ‘why isn’t the moment itself enough?’’
