Banks definitely knows how to keep things fresh. She’s also a pro at teasing and surprising us with new music. “Crowded Places” – the first release for the singer since 2016’s The Altar – is one of those pleasant surprises. No word yet on where this brooding ballad leads – hopefully a new project for 2017 – but we are content dwelling in the mystery.
