[LISTEN] Annalibera – “Love In a Recession”

I am happy to report that there is hope for humanity when songs like this are made. “Love In A Recession,” the first single from Annalibera‘s upcoming 3-track EP, L.I.A.R, demonstrates the power of love and how it surpasses any force of evil – in this case and for most twenty-somethings, a recession. If only all individuals thought this way.

“I was looking into my future with a bleak humor because no one could get jobs at the time, including my boyfriend (guitarist Ryan Stier.) I wrote “Love In A Recession” to cheer him up with this extended joke about being young, broke and in love, as a comment on the larger problem facing most people I knew after college” says Gebhardt.
L.I.A.R is the follow up to the band’s debut, Nevermind I Love You, and was recorded during the same session as the album, taking more of a twangy pop sound but still holding that 90’s Lillith Fair-esque quality I can’t get enough of.

L.I.A.R. will be available June 16.
