[LISTEN] Acceptance – “Take You Away”

When Seattle alternative outfit, Acceptance, announced they were getting the band back together, joy does not even begin to describe how I, and fans across the world, felt. Their 2005 debut cult smash, Phantoms, was a permanent (no pun intended) staple in my music collection back in high school ten years ago and the mere thought of finally having new music from them makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

It’s hard to believe that “Take You Away” is the band’s first single in over a decade. As the nostalgia washes over from the Phantoms era, it feels as if they were frozen in time – singer Jason Vena’s vocals just as pristine as they were when their music brought me hope and sat with me while things went downhill. I can’t wait to see where they go next.
