Help Fund Shoegazers In Parallel’s ‘Broken Codes’ EP

My first introduction to shoegaze was from Nashville’s Celebrity in 2004. I was 16 and in my junior year of high school, which let’s be honest, wasn’t the greatest experience. But as always, music was always there at the end of the day to help me through. Without Celebrity in my life, among other bands, I’m not sure what life would have been like.

Comprised of Lance Black, Ryan Parrish (Hopesfall) and brothers Matt and Jesse Fine, Celebrity released four fantastically crafted pieces of music that not only are pretty much extinct in physical format, but cherished deeply within my music collection. After disbanding in 2008, Black, Parrish and Jesse Fine have emerged in 2015 as In Parallel; a brand new electronic/shoegaze project that I couldn’t be more excited about.

As with any indie project, funding seems to be the devil, but with Indiegogo, anything is possible! The band has started a campaign to help fund their debut Broken Codes EP. So far, they’ve raised over $1,900 but there’s still more to go…in 13 days!

Watch the campaign video below and find out how you can help + all the perks you can snag HERE. Damn the man and save the empire! 😉
