[Daily Discovery] Wall of Trophies

Some of the best new acts are hailing from Washington, DC lately and it makes me wonder – like with Nashville – what’s in the water over there. Emerging duo, Wall of Trophies – comprised of Brittany Jean and Will Copps – have that whole dreamy, atmospheric thing down pact. They’re currently gearing up for the release of their debut album, Heliograph, on January 29 and have been garnering a ton of buzz with their ethereal sound.

The duo have a pretty interesting backstory. Jean is a veteran musician of the DC area, performing since 2002 and has released four EPs. She has even opened for Hanson, Rooney and Parachute when they were Sparky’s Flaw. Aside from Wall of Trophies, Copps is an audio-visual artist – his signature “pixel-painting” style and interactive visualizations have been displayed at exhibits at the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia and the Smithsonian Museum in DC, among others.
