[Daily Discovery] Kaptan

If you’re still trying to wrap your head around the fact that it’s Thanksgiving already and Christmas is just around the corner, you’re probably still wondering how summer crept away so fast, as am I. Today’s Daily Discovery artist has all those synthy, summery feels that will let you live the dream for just a little while longer. At least we can pretend.

Kaptan is the shimmery indie-pop project from Seattle’s Andrew de Torres, but he now calls Nashville home. One listen to his debut Sprinter EP and you’ll be craving another go at summer and those mellow days at the beach. I stumbled upon this gem earlier this week while browsing through Spotify and was drawn to their laid-back yet upbeat vibe, as it brightened my spirits on a particularly bad day. While you’re in the middle of your turkey comas this weekend, sit back, relax and press play.

Sprinter is available now here.
