[Daily Discovery] Daya

17 year-old Pittsburgh native, Daya, first captured my attention a couple of months ago with her pop dream of a debut single, “Hide Away” – an anthem for all of the fed up ladies with the lack of male selection out there. Let’s be honest, a lot of boys don’t want to put in the work, but this pop up-and-comer knows her worth and that’s refreshing to hear. It doesn’t end there! The singer’s self-titled debut EP is jam-packed with anthems of self-respect and sass. Take “Sit Still, Look Pretty” – a track that will have women of all ages with their fists in the air. Then of course there’s her collaboration with The Chainsmokers in “Don’t Let Me Down,” guaranteed to take over Top 40 within the coming months. Bottom line: this girl is going to be huge and I cannot wait to watch her rise to the top. Morals FTW!
